Meet Waimea, New Zealand jack-of-all-trades. It wasn’t always this way–Waimea was bred for its bittering potential, not exceptional flavor and aroma. Yet this high-alpha hop is full of pleasant surprises, bursting with intense fresh tangelo, citrus fruit and pine needle character.
With new world flavor and excellent dual-purpose ability, Waimea is suitable across a wide range of styles, from dry-hopping IPAs to bold bittering. It has even been touted for the way it can meld with the crisp, smooth profile of an imperial lager.
